Whilst shooting in JPEG is fine for compact cameras, the fact is to get the maximum quality from your digital SLR you need to shoot in RAW. Whilst a few years ago that meant using the clunky software that came with your camera those days are over, welcome to Lightroom.

This workshop will take you step by step through the different modules in Lightroom, however the vast majority of the workshop will be spent in the Library and Develop modules.

You will need your own laptop for this workshop (However I do have a spare) On previous software courses clients prefer using their own computers as they are used to working in a certain way.

What we will cover

The advantages of shooting RAW

Installing and configuring  Lightroom

Importing and backing up images (you do currently back up your images right!)

Creating collections and smart collections (so you can find your images quickly)

Rating images

Finding images using metadata

Processing RAW images to extract the maximum quality and detail from the files

Creating export presets (this will save you loads of time)

This workshop will run over a period of 4 weeks on a Thursday evening in my studio. Don’t worry if you don’t have Lightroom yet as we will install a 30 day trial version for the duration of the workshop.

Spaces limited to 6 clients to ensure lots of 1-2-1 time

Date 8th - 29th November 7-9PM (4 Thursday evening sessions)

Cost £90
